The shower facilities need a major upgrade!!! Basic amenities like scratchy towels and outdated bathroom lighting detract from the experience. The furniture looks like a relic from a past era—definitely room for a refresh!!!

stayed at the riviera for a night and everything was ready. the single room with sea view was nice and accessible. loved the beachfront location, making it easy to enjoy the sun. the breakfast staff were really friendly, and the dining area looked great. would definitely return.

We had a family room which was nice and bright. The staff were cute, helped us settle in, and provided useful info about local eats.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying in a cozy Double or Twin Room with Sea View. Waking up to the sound of waves crashing and the fresh scent of the ocean was a game-changer for my day! Plus, the breakfast was a delightful spread, hot and fresh, making every morning feel like a treat.

Comfy bed, clean room, with large windows for ventilation, and the location is perfect for exploring the area. There’s a lovely communal lounge area where we could relax after a day out.

I stayed for 1 night in a Double or Twin Room with Sea View and found the location superb, right by the beach. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-decorated, making for a relaxing retreat. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant experience. the bathroom lighting could be improved as it was a bit dim.

The basic room didn’t quite match the £120 price tag, and the missing night porter was a bit dodgy! We had to let ourselves in after a late night, which felt a tad unsafe—still, we turned it into a laugh.

Had a great time with friends! We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and spent time exploring the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club. The staff were super friendly, and the breakfast exceeded our expectations. It's really good value for a basic yet clean hotel, perfect for a fun getaway.

great views, close to pier and vibrant promenade

I stayed here for two nights and really loved how easy it was to stroll to the pier and enjoy the lively promenade just steps away. With the stunning sea view from my room, it made my evenings relaxing and picturesque.

The location sits on a busy road, resulting in noticeable traffic noise at times. There was no simple cup for teeth-cleaning in the bathroom, and I found it inconvenient not to have evening meal options. The bathroom setup, while functional, could use some updating as it felt dated.
